2 Archelaus,Flourished about 278. bishop of Mesopotamia, composed in the Syriac language, a book of the discussion which he held with Manichaeus, when he came from Persia. This book, which is translated into Greek, is possessed by many.
3 He flourished under the Emperor Probus, who succeeded Aurelianus and Tacitus.
