Joshua 19

And the second lot came out for the children of Symeon; and their inheritance was in the midst of the lots of the children of Juda.

ΚΑΙ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ δεύτερος κλῆρος τῶν υἱῶν Συμεών, καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ κληρονομία αὐτῶν ἀναμέσον κλήρων υἱῶν ᾿Ιούδα.

And their lot was Beersabee, and Samaa, and Coladam,

καὶ ἐγενήθη ὁ κλῆρος αὐτῶν Βηρσαβεὲ καὶ Σαμαὰ καὶ Κωλαδὰμ

and Arsola, and Bola, and Asom,

καὶ ᾿Αρσωλὰ καὶ Βωλὰ καὶ ᾿Ασὸμ

and Erthula, and Bula, and Herma,

καὶ ᾿Ελθουλὰ καὶ Βουλὰ καὶ ῾Ερμᾶ

and Sikelac, and Baethmachereb, and Sarsusin,

καὶ Σικελὰκ καὶ Βαιθμαχερὲβ καὶ Σαρσουσὶν

and Batharoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.

καὶ Βαθαρὼθ καὶ οἱ ἀγροὶ αὐτῶν, πόλεις δεκατρεῖς καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·

Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Ether, and Asan; four cities and their villages,

᾿Ερεμμὼν καὶ Θαλχὰ καὶ ᾿Εθὲρ καὶ ᾿Ασάν, πόλεις τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

round about their cities as far as Barec as [men] go to Bameth southward: this [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon according to their families.

κύκλῳ τῶν πόλεων αὐτῶν ἕως Βαρὲκ πορευομένων Βαμὲθ κατὰ λίβα. αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.

The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon [was a part] of the lot of Juda, for the portion of the children of Juda was greater than theirs; and the children of Symeon inherited in the midst of their lot.

ἀπὸ τοῦ κλήρου τοῦ ᾿Ιούδα ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεών, ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἡ μερὶς υἱῶν ᾿Ιούδα μείζων τῆς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Συμεὼν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν.

And the third lot came out to Zabulon according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be-- Esedekgola shall be their border,

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τρίτος τῷ Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν. ἔσται τὰ ὅρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν ᾿Εσεδεκγωλά· ὅρια αὐτῶν

the sea and Maraggila, and it shall reach to Baetharaba in the valley, which is opposite Jekman.

ἡ θάλασσα καὶ Μαραγγιλὰ καὶ συνάψει ἐπὶ Βαιθάραβα εἰς τὴν φάραγγα, ἥ ἐστι κατὰ πρόσωπον ᾿Ιεκμάν,

And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Baethsamys, to the borders of Chaselothaith, and shall pass on to Dabiroth, and shall proceed upward to Phangai.

καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν ἀπὸ Σεδδοὺκ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν Βαιθσαμὺς ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Χασελωθαὶθ καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Δαβιρὼθ καὶ προσαναβήσεται ἐπὶ Φαγγαὶ

And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gebere to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Remmonaa Amathar.

καὶ ἐκεῖθεν περιελεύσεται ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐπ’ ἀνατολὰς ἐπὶ Γεβερέ, ἐπὶ πόλιν Κατασέμ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Ῥεμμωνὰ ᾿Αμαθὰρ ᾿Αοζὰ

And the borders shall come round northward to Amoth, and their going out shall be at Gaephael,

καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅρια ἐπὶ βορρᾶν ἐπὶ ᾿Αμώθ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ Γαιφαὴλ

and Catanath, and Nabaal, and Symoon, and Jericho, and Baethman.

καὶ Κατανὰθ καὶ Ναβαὰλ καὶ Συμοὼν καὶ ῾Ιεριχὼ καὶ Βαιθμάν.

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon according to their families, [these] cities and their villages.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the fourth lot came out to Issachar.

Καὶ τῷ ᾿Ισσάχαρ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τέταρτος.

And their borders were Jazel, and Chasaloth, and Sunam,

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ᾿Ιαζὴλ καὶ Χασαλὼθ καὶ Σουνὰμ

and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth,

καὶ ᾿Αγὶν καὶ Σιωνὰ καὶ Ῥεηρὼθ

and Anachereth, and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes,

καὶ ᾿Αναχερὲθ καὶ Δαβιρὼν καὶ Κισὼν καὶ Ῥεβὲς

and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Aemarec, and Bersaphes.

καὶ Ῥεμμὰς καὶ ᾿Ιεὼν καὶ Τομμὰν καὶ Αἰμαρὲκ καὶ Βηρσαφής,

And the boundaries shall border upon Gaethbor, and upon Salim westward, and Baethsamys; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.

καὶ συνάψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Γαιθβὼρ καὶ ἐπὶ Σαλὶμ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ Βαιθσαμύς, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ὁ ᾿Ιορδάνης.

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν ᾿Ισσάχαρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, αἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the fifth lot came out to Aser according to their families.

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πέμπτος ᾿Ασὴρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.

And their borders were Exeleketh, and Aleph, and Baethok, and Keaph,

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ᾿Εξελεκὲθ καὶ ᾿Αλὲφ καὶ Βαιθὸκ καὶ Κεὰφ

and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa, and the lot will border on Carmel westward, and on Sion, and Labanath.

καὶ ᾿Ελιμελὲχ καὶ ᾿Αμιὴλ καὶ Μαασὰ καὶ συνάψει τῷ Καρμήλῳ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ τῷ Σιὼν καὶ Λαβανὰθ

And it will return westward from Baethegeneth, and will join Zabulon and Ekgai, and Phthaeel northwards, and the borders will come to Saphthaebaethme, and Inael, and will go on to Chobamasomel,

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου καὶ Βαιθεγενὲθ καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλὼν καὶ ᾿Εκγαῖ καὶ Φθαιὴλ κατὰ βορρᾶν, καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ὅρια Σαφθαιβαιθμὲ καὶ ᾿Ιναὴλ καὶ διελεύσεται εἰς Χωβαμασομὲλ

and Elbon, and Raab, and Ememaon, and Canthan to great Sidon.

καὶ ᾿Ελβὼν καὶ Ῥαὰβ καὶ ᾿Εμεμαὼν καὶ Κανθὰν ἕως Σιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης,

And the borders shall turn back to Rama, and to the fountain of Masphassat, and the Tyrians; and the borders shall return to Jasiph, and their going forth shall be the sea, and Apoleb, and Echozob,

καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια εἰς Ῥαμὰ καὶ ἕως πηγῆς Μασφασσὰτ καὶ τῶν Τυρίων, καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ ᾿Ιασίφ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ ἡ θάλασσα καὶ ᾿Απολὲβ καὶ ᾿Εχοζὸβ

and Archob, and Aphec, and Raau.

καὶ ᾿Αρχὸβ καὶ ᾿Αφὲκ καὶ Ῥααῦ.

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Aser according to their families, the cities and their villages.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν ᾿Ασὴρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the sixth lot came out to Nephthali.

Καὶ τῷ Νεφθαλὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕκτος.

And their borders were Moolam, and Mola, and Besemiin, and Arme, and Naboc, and Jephthamai, as far as Dodam; and their goings out were Jordan.

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Μοολὰμ καὶ Μωλὰ καὶ Βεσεμιΐν καὶ ᾿Αρμὲ καὶ Ναβὸκ καὶ ᾿Ιεφθαμαὶ ἕως Δωδάμ, καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ διέξοδοι αὐτοῦ ᾿Ιορδάνης·

And the coasts will return westward by Enath Thabor, and will go out thence to Jacana, and will border on Zabulon southward, and Aser will join [it] westward, and Jordan eastward.

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ᾿Ενὰθ Θαβὼρ καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν ᾿Ιακανὰ καὶ συνάψει τῷΖαβουλὼν ἀπὸ νώτου καὶ ᾿Ασὴρ συνάψει κατὰ θάλασσαν, καὶ ὁ ᾿Ιορδάνης ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου.

And the walled cities of the Tyrians, Tyre, and Omatha, Daketh, and Kenereth,

καὶ αἱ πόλεις τειχήρεις τῶν Τυρίων, Τύρος καὶ ᾿Ωμαθά, Δακὲθ καὶ Κενερὲθ

and Armaith, and Areal, and Asor,

καὶ ᾿Αρμαΐθ καὶ ᾿Αραὴλ καὶ ᾿Ασὼρ

and Cades, and Assari, and the well of Asor;

καὶ Κάδες καὶ ᾿Ασσαρὶ καὶ πηγὴ ᾿Ασὸρ

and Keroe, and Megala Arim, and Baetthame, and Thessamys.

καὶ Κερωὲ καὶ Μεγαλὰ ᾿Αρὶμ καὶ Βαιθθαμὲ καὶ Θεσσαμύς.

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Nephthali.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Νεφθαλί.

And the seventh lot came out to Dan.

Καὶ τῷ Δὰν ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕβδομος.

And their borders were Sarath, and Asa, and the cities of Sammaus,

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Σαρὰθ καὶ ᾿Ασὰ καὶ πόλεις Σαμμάυς

and Salamin, and Ammon, and Silatha,

καὶ Σαλαμὶν καὶ ᾿Αμμὼν καὶ Σιλαθὰ

and Elon, and Thamnatha, and Accaron;

καὶ ᾿Ελὼν καὶ Θαμναθὰ καὶ ᾿Ακκαρὼν

and Alcatha, and Begethon, and Gebeelan,

καὶ ᾿Αλκαθὰ καὶ Βεγεθὼν καὶ Γεβεελὰν

and Azor, and Banaebacat, and Gethremon.

καὶ ᾿Αζὼρ καὶ Βαναιβακὰτ καὶ Γεθρεμών,

And westward of Hieracon the border [was] near to Joppa.

καὶ ἀπὸ θαλάσσης ῾Ιεράκων ὅριον πληρίον ᾿Ιόππης.

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families, these [are] their cities and their villages: and the children of Dan did not drive out the Amorite who afflicted them in the mountain; and the Amorite would not suffer them to come down into the valley, but they forcibly took from them the border of their portion.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Δὰν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν. καὶ οὐκ ἐξέθλιψαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δὰν τὸν ᾿Αμορραῖον τὸν θλίβοντα αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ ὄρει· καὶ οὐκ εἴων αὐτοὺς οἱ ᾿Αμορραῖοι καταβῆναι εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα καὶ ἔθλιψαν ἀπ’ αὐτῶν τὸ ὅριον τῆς μερίδος αὐτῶν.

And the sons of Dan went and fought against Lachis, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword; and they dwelt in it, and called the name of it Lasendan: and the Amorite continued to dwell in Edom and in Salamin: and the hand of Ephraim prevailed against them, and they became tributaries to them.

καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δὰν καὶ ἐπολέμησαν τὴν Λαχὶς καὶ κατελάβοντο αὐτὴν καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτὴν ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας καὶ κατῴκησαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Λασενδὰκ καὶ ὁ ᾿Αμορραῖος ὑπέμεινε τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐν ᾿Ελὼμ καὶ ἐν Σαλαμίν· καὶ ἐβαρύνθη ἡ χεὶρ τοῦ ᾿Εφραὶμ ἐπ’ αὐτούς, καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτοῖς εἰς φόρον.

And they proceeded to take possession of the land according to their borders, and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Naue among them,

Καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν κατὰ τὸ ὅριον αὐτῶν. καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ κλῆρον τῷ ᾿Ιησοῖ τῷ υἱῷ Ναυὴ ἐν αὐτοῖς

by the command of God, and they gave him the city which he asked for, Thamnasarach, which is in the mount of Ephraim; and he built the city, and dwelt in it.

διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ Θεοῦ· καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὴν πόλιν, ἣν ᾐτήσατο, Θαμνασαράχ, ἥ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ ὄρει ᾿Εφραίμ· καὶ ᾠκοδόμησε τὴν πόλιν καὶ κατῴκει ἐν αὐτῇ.

These [are] the divisions which Eleazar the priest divided by lot, and Joshua the [son] of Naue, and the heads of families among the tribes of Israel, according to the lots, in Selo before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and they went to take possession of the land.

αὗται αἱ διαιρέσεις ἃς κατεκληρονόμησεν ᾿Ελεάζαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ ᾿Ιησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυὴ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ κατὰ κλήρους ἐν Σηλώ, ἔναντι Κυρίου, παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου· καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν.
